FERRIS, Texas — A physical fight involving more than 10 people at Jerry Watson Park escalated into a deadly shooting Saturday afternoon, leaving one person dead and another injured, according to the City of Ferris.
The incident happened around 1:54 p.m. in the 300 block of Donna Drive. City officials say the altercation involved both juveniles and young adults. Multiple individuals reportedly produced firearms, resulting in an exchange of gunfire.
One person was taken to the hospital by Ferris Department of Public Safety EMS and was later pronounced dead. Another was treated for injuries at a local emergency facility. Authorities said multiple people have been taken into custody, and charges are pending as the investigation continues…
