Harumama, a playful addition to Carrollton’s dining scene, is bringing charm, comfort and a dash of creativity to Asian cuisine. The family-owned restaurant, located on W. Frankford Road, marks the first Texas location for the brand. Its signature? Steamed character buns that are (almost) too cute to eat.

“At the end of the day, we want our buns to feel special, like something you’ll remember long after your visit,” says Jenny Pyo, Harumama’s founder. “Whether you’re a kid or just a kid at heart, we hope each bun brings a bit of joy and a whole lot of fun to your day.”

The name Harumama comes from two words — “Haru,” meaning “day” in Korean, and “mama,” representing the nurturing care of homemade food. This combination perfectly captures what the restaurant is all about: meals made with heart, served with a smile, and always full of surprises.
