Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is set to begin construction this summer on a new standalone location in Sunnyvale, Texas. According to state filings, work will kick off on June 16, 2025, at 172 S Collins Road. The project calls for a 3,000-square-foot building with completion expected by December 8, 2025. Once open, this will be one of the latest additions to a commercial corridor that has seen rapid growth just off U.S. Highway 80.

By 2001, roads had been carved out, but the surrounding land was still mostly undeveloped. In the last two decades, the site has transformed, first with the arrival of housing developments, then with retail construction that continues today.
