DALLAS — A failed toilet valve caused flooding in multiple parts of Dallas City Hall this week, including the city council chambers and the mayor’s office, leading some meeting locations to be moved, according to a memo.
Dallas City Manager Kim Tolbert wrote in a memo Monday that the flooding was caused by a failed flush valve on a toilet in the men’s restroom adjacent to the council chambers. The problem was only noticed and resolved after “a substantial amount of water had already been discharged,” according to the memo.
Standing water was reportedly found on the third, fourth and fifth floors of the building. Along with the council chambers and council member offices, it affected the communications office, the city manager’s offices, and IT services, the memo stated…
