DALLAS — A man died in an overnight house fire in Northwest Dallas, according to fire officials.
Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR) said fire crews responded to a structure fire call at approximately 4:45 a.m. Saturday in the 3000 block of Sumter Drive. When firefighters got to the home, they reported seeing fire coming from the front door. With reports of someone possibly being inside, they forced entry to conduct search and rescue and suppression operations, DFR said.
When the firefighters entered the home, they found an adult man unresponsive near the entrance of the home, DFR said. Firefighters immediately pulled the man from the home, and he was pronounced dead at the scene…
