Dallas raises city pride flag for Pride Month

DALLAS — In honor of Pride Month, the City of Dallas and its partners hosted a pride flag raising ceremony and resource fair at Dallas City Hall Plaza on Friday.

Dallas city councilmember Omar Narvaez, District 6, told WFAA the pride flag will fly above city buildings throughout the month of June, in exception of a four-day stretch where it is switched out to commemorate Juneteenth (June 19-22).

“We’re here to welcome in Pride Month for the City of Dallas and let our residents, as well as our visitors, know that Dallas is a welcoming community. How we do that is by raising our official city flag for the month of June every year,” Narvaez said…
