Arlington Police Investigate Late-Night Shooting That Left 19-Year-Old Dead; Suspect at Large

A tragic incident of gun violence has rocked a local Arlington community, leaving a 19-year-old man dead. Details of the case have slowly started to unfold as the Arlington Police Department openly investigates the shooting that occurred late Monday night. The report, released to the public, indicates officers were dispatched to an apartment complex on the 2700 block of Castle Gardens Drive after reports of fired shots. Upon arriving at the scene, they discovered the young man, unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds, in the parking lot.

The subsequent emergency measures failed to save the victim’s life, as he was later declared dead at an area hospital. As per witnesses at the scene, there had been some sort of altercation involving the victim and another individual. The victim had attempted to stop the driver from driving away after both arrived together, followed shortly by the fatal gunfire. The shooter, whose identity remains a mystery, was able to flee the scene, according to the Arlington Police Department’s statement. Detectives leveraged the resources at the APD Real Time Crime Center to quickly locate the victim’s vehicle, a 2016 Chrysler 200. The car, confirmed to belong to the victim, was traced and retrieved the next morning in Dallas.
