Garland Police Crack Down on Seat Belt Violations During “Click It or Ticket” Campaign

The Garland Police Department recently ramped up its monitoring of seat belt compliance through the “Click It or Ticket” campaign, collaborating with the statewide push to ensure Texas drivers and passengers stay strapped in. Their officers performed 183 traffic stops from May 22 to June 1. The operation illuminated a persistent neglect of proper safety measures among motorists, underscored by the issuance of 58 seat belt violations, as per the Garland Police Department.

Leading to an array of citations, the enforcement stint also yielded 2 citations for child safety seat failures.
