Severe Thunderstorms, Hail, And Spin-Up Tornado Potential Forecasted For Dallas Beginning Tonight

The National Weather Service and local meteorologists are forecasting severe storms expected to sweep into the DFW area late tonight, continuing into Monday. Potential weather conditions including: strong winds, heavy rain, large hail, and the potential for isolated tornadoes.

A potent storm system is pushing eastward across Texas into the DFW area. Forecasters expect for the severe weather to begin tonight around 10 pm, with the most intense weather expected between midnight and 6 am Monday.

While there are some discrepancies regarding specifics, the consensus is a high likelihood of: damaging winds up to 70 mph, quarter-sized hail, localized flooding – especially in low-lying areas – and possible isolated tornadoes. As far as the likeliness, Fox 4 has declared a Level 4 moderate risk.
