Isolated showers possible Thursday evening in North Texas

Wednesday afternoon showers and storms brought a quarter of an inch of rain to DFW International Airport, which added to the yearly rainfall total, which is just shy of an inch above average.

As for the month of June, it has been drier than usual by an inch of rain.

More rainfall will be possible over the next few days before the month comes to a close. Thursday and Friday, there is a chance of additional showers and storms. Thursday night, most of North Texas will stay dry, but cities to the southeast of the metroplex have the highest chance of storms.

Friday will stay fairly cloudy with winds coming from the south, around 5 to 15 mph. A few storms may be possible to the north of I-20 on Friday due to a disturbance coming from Oklahoma…
