The body of a 28-year-old man was recovered from Lewisville Lake Sunday, after he went underwater and did not resurface Saturday, officials said.
The initial 911 call reporting a possible drowning was received around 7:45 p.m. Saturday, according to a spokesperson for the city of Lewisville. Officials said the man, Cleveland Whiteside, originally of Mississippi, reportedly went under near Pier 121 Marina.
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department said Whiteside was “reportedly swimming near a vessel when he went underwater and did not resurface.”…
