DALLAS — T.D. Jakes, the founder and senior pastor of The Potter’s House in Dallas, will officially turn over his day-to-day leadership role with the megachurch to the next generation this week.
Jakes founded The Potter’s House, a non-denominational megachurch in the 6700 block of Kiest Boulevard near Dallas Baptist University, in 1996. The church now has more than 30,000 members.
Jakes’ daughter, Sarah Jakes Roberts, and her husband, Touré Roberts, will be officially installed as co-senior pastors of the church he founded on Sunday during a celebration of the church’s 29th anniversary. The service is set to begin at 9 a.m…
