Dallas, Texas – The City of Dallas has announced that mosquito samples have tested positive for West Nile Virus, prompting scheduled overnight spraying in several neighborhoods. Weather permitting, mosquito control trucks will be active from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22, through Wednesday, July 23, to reduce the mosquito population and lower the risk of virus transmission.
Areas Targeted for Spraying
The spraying will cover several control areas across different council districts, including:
- 2300 block of Martin Luther King Jr Blvd (75215, District 7): Bounded by S. Malcolm X Blvd, Coombs St, Dathe St, and Cleveland St.
- 7100 block of Joyce Way (75225, District 11): Bounded by Stonetrail Dr, Thackery St, Glen Albens Cir, and Park Ln.
- 3900 Frank St (75210, District 7): Bounded by S. Fitzhugh Ave, Coolidge St, Mitchell St, and Bertrand Ave.
- 4000 Allencrest Ln (75244, District 13): Bounded by Calculus Dr, Bencrest Pl, Midway Rd, and Alta Vista Ln.
- 6900 Churchill Way (75230, District 11): Bounded by LBJ Fwy, Marbrook Dr, Park Central Dr, and Forest Ln.
- 3600 Bickers St (75212, District 6): Bounded by Canada Dr, Norco St, Jenny Dale Dr, and Singleton Blvd.
- 3600 Mt. Royal St (75211, District 1): Bounded by W. Davis St, Mt. Ararat St, N. Ravinia Dr, and Gibsondell Ave.
