Dallas man arrested with drugs and firearm after police observation

DALLAS, Texas — A 31-year-old man was arrested after being observed engaging in suspected drug transactions in downtown Dallas, according to police. Kenneth Dunson, of Dallas, Texas, was found with drugs and a firearm, police say.

On July 27, 2025, at approximately 11:50 a.m., officers from the Downtown Task Force observed Dunson approaching multiple individuals in the 900 block of Pacific Avenue, appearing to conduct drug transactions. Further investigation revealed Dunson had two active warrants, according to a press release from the department.

Upon arrest and search, Dunson was found in possession of 21 individual bags of methamphetamine, 10 individual bags of marijuana, and a firearm. He faces charges including manufacturing and delivery, a first-degree felony, unlawful carry of a weapon, a second-degree felony, failure to identify as a fugitive, and possession of marijuana, both Class A misdemeanors, along with his outstanding warrants…
