Dallas Man Gets 10 Years for Fentanyl Possession After Months of Gas Station Harassment

DALLAS — Derrick Demon Lockett, 50, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison following a guilty plea for possession of fentanyl (4-200g) with a deadly weapon, according to the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office.

Lockett had been the subject of multiple complaints from a gas station where he repeatedly stole items and sold drugs in the parking lot. Attempts to trespass him were unsuccessful, as he often fled before officers could respond.

On March 5, 2024, Lockett entered the store again and stole a Red Bull. When confronted by the gas station attendant, he punched the employee in the face and made threats.
