New charges filed against brothers accused in shooting death of pharmaceutical delivery driver

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Two brothers accused in the case of a pharmaceutical delivery driver being shot and killed in a Walgreens parking lot in Shreveport are now facing new charges.

On Friday, Aug. 8, Acting U.S. Attorney Alexander Van Hook announced that a federal grand jury has issued a superseding indictment against the two brothers.

Kevin Terrell Lewis (AKA Kelvin Lewis), 38, of Arlington, Texas, and his brother, Larry Dewayne Lewis, 44, of Shreveport, were bother charged in July with robbery and conspiracy to use, carry, brandish, and discharge firearms during and in relation to a crime of violence, the U.S. Attorney’s Office of the Western District of Louisiana reports. The indictment adds another charge for both brothers for causing the death of the victim by using and discharging a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence. If convicted, both brothers face a sentence of up to life in prison and a fine of up to a quarter of a million dollars…
