Dallas, Texas – The City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture (OAC) is inviting the public to a special event honoring the arrival of VanAnthony Williams, the newly appointed manager of the South Dallas Cultural Center (SDCC). Taking place from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2025, this free event titled “Meet the Manager! At the South Dallas Cultural Center” offers residents and visitors an opportunity to speak directly with Williams, ask questions, and share ideas. The gathering will be held in the SDCC lobby, located at 3400 S. Fitzhugh Avenue, just next to Fair Park.
VanAnthony Williams brings more than ten years of leadership experience in creative and performing arts spaces. His journey includes roles in both technical theater and program management, with a clear passion for nurturing creative talent and uplifting diverse communities. Most recently, he served as the Director of Technical Theatre and Venue Manager at The Oakridge School, where he led student productions and managed a professional-grade performance space.
Prior to that, Williams contributed to the Fort Worth Community Arts Center and Texas Christian University, where he helped form strong community partnerships, oversaw venue operations, and designed inclusive arts programming.
