Suspected drunk driver charged with manslaughter after fatal crash, Garland police say

GARLAND, Texas — A suspected drunk driver was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter after allegedly crashing into another vehicle and killing the driver.

Garland police responded to a crash around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Garland Avenue and Kingsley Road in southern Garland, police said in a press release. One person died in the crash, officials say.
