Dallas streets experienced a crackdown this past Monday as the Dallas Police Department’s Northeast Patrol Division, paired with the Street Racing Task Force, put a stop to a street takeover known for its stunts and dangerous driving. Officers swarmed an area near Peavy Road and Buckner Boulevard after community members complained about the reckless antics that had apparently become a recurring Monday evening event.
The operation was based on citizen reports and subsequent observations made by law enforcement. Officers managed to quickly follow the group, witnessing multiple traffic violations, and tracked the participants to the 10700 block of Miller Road and the White Rock Lake area. Here, the police issued 30 citations covering offenses such as driving without a license, insurance, or registration, and displaying expired registration.
