For the second time in 10 days, the Olney Police Department responded to an arrest at the Allsup’s gas station on 401 W. Main Street, this time involving a domestic disturbance that escalated into an assault.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, Aug. 19, at approximately 6:30 p.m. Officers arrived to find a domestic-related assault involving four individuals, including a woman, her partner, her ex-partner, and her father, according to Interim Olney Police Chief Autumn Thames. After investigating at the scene, the ex-partner, from the Metroplex, was taken into custody on a charge of Assault – Family Violence involving the woman and her partner, without further incident. The woman had called her father, who lives in Olney, to the scene, Chief Thames said.
