DALLAS – Officials in Dallas County are sounding the alarm after the county jail exceeded capacity over the weekend. Dallas County officials say that, for the first time in two decades, they are at 100% max capacity at the Dallas County Jail.
“We are in crisis. We are at 100%. Our bookings are at record levels,” said Dallas County Criminal Justice Department Director Charlene Randolph on Tuesday at a Dallas County Council meeting.
