Three Arrested in Irving for Burglary at Loop 12 Business, Theft of Copper and Electrical Components

IRVING, Texas — Irving Police arrested three men on Thursday, September 10th, following a burglary at Big D Travel Center.

Officers responded around 7:20 p.m. on that day to an alarm call at the 300 N. Looper 12 location. A security employee that monitors video from another location reported multiple men had entered the building without consent. Video surveillance showed that two of the suspects left and returned in a 2001 Ford Mustang, retrieving a black bag left outside the bay doors by a third accomplice. The officer called in the description into dispatch as he remained on site.

Another Irving officer located the Mustang and stopped it on Wildwood Drive. Inside, officers found copper piping, wires, electrical cords, and other components, along with burglary tools. The passenger was identified as 49-year-old Jason Allen Brown of Arlington. Him and the driver collaborated and admitted that they had been at the Big D Travel Center.
