DALLAS, Texas — The Dallas Police Department’s Special Investigations Division concluded a significant narcotics investigation in South Dallas, seizing over 50 kilograms of marijuana, multiple firearms, and nearly $30,000 in cash. The operation aimed to disrupt drug distribution in the south Oak Cliff area.
Narcotics detectives, with assistance from SWAT, the Gang Unit, UAS Squad, and officers from South Central and Southwest Patrol and CRT, executed search warrants at two locations, according to a press release from the department. Investigators recovered 56,467.2 grams of marijuana, seven rifles and handguns, and $28,436 in currency. The department stated it is committed to following this investigation wherever it leads to disrupt narcotics distribution and criminal enterprises throughout Dallas.
As a result of the investigation, four individuals were arrested and charged with multiple felonies, including drug and firearm charges. Trayvione Williams, a 20-year-old, was charged with possession of marijuana between 50 and 2,000 pounds, a second-degree felony, and unlawful possession of a firearm as a documented gang member, a class-A misdemeanor. Tarrion Babbles, a 24-year-old, faced charges of possession of marijuana between four ounces and five pounds in a drug-free zone, a third-degree felony, failure to identify, a class-B misdemeanor, and was arrested on multiple outstanding warrants, including aggravated robbery. Marquise Williams, a 28-year-old, was charged with possession of marijuana between four ounces and five pounds in a drug-free zone, a third-degree felony. Revelation Smith-Jefferson, a 23-year-old, was charged with possession of marijuana between four ounces and five pounds, a state-jail felony, and was arrested on a warrant for robbery…
