Dallas police continue testing shot detection tool in fight against random gunfire

The Dallas Police Department (DPD) rolled out the new gunshot detection system in March. Communities across the city hope to see it in their neighborhoods.

For the past five years, a plaguing problem just outside the Villas of Prairie Creek neighborhood in Dallas has now come to a breaking point.

“It’s damaged people’s properties and we just don’t want someone to get hurt or worse die from a gunshot,” Andi Guevara said…
