The Dallas Police Department made significant headway in the battle against crime late last month when the Southwest CRT/Deployment officers apprehended Ricardo Cabriales, a 35-year-old suspected of a business robbery that took place earlier in September. According to a report from the Dallas Police Department, the arrest occurred after a traffic stop and led to Cabriales being charged with Aggravated Robbery of a Business relating to an incident on the 2300 block of West Illinois Avenue.
But the reach of a police intervention can often extend beyond the immediate catch. In this instance, the ripple effect from the robbery investigation brought down another criminal, presumed drug dealer Edgar Cayetano, age 37. Information unearthed during the Cabriales case led the officers to Cayetano, who was already on the radar with an active warrant for probation violation.
