Irving Police Department Welcomes Five New Officers, Aiming to Strengthen Community Relations

The Irving Police Department is growing its ranks with the addition of five new officers who were sworn in recently, promising to bolster public safety and community engagement in the city. Announced via a social media post, the department is celebrating the commitment of Officers Goforth, Placek, Warner, Moen, and Fisher, each choosing to dedicate their careers to serving the Irving community out of a multitude of opportunities they could have pursued.

The cadre of recruits, whose swearing-in ceremony took place earlier this month, is walking into a challenging profession at a time when policing is under intense scrutiny and the nature of law enforcement is being questioned and redefined across the country. They have nevertheless taken up the mantle with the intention to safeguard their community and uphold the tenets of justice and service.
