Dallas Police Seize $100K, 357 Pounds of Meth and Handgun in West Oak Cliff Drug Bust

DALLAS, TXDallas police seized a massive haul of methamphetamine, cash, and a handgun following a tip that led them to a location in West Oak Cliff. The bust, conducted on October 1, resulted in the confiscation of approximately 357 pounds of meth, valued at over $1 million, and $100,000 in cash.

How the Drug Bust Unfolded

The operation began when authorities received a tip about a suspect involved in drug trafficking. Following the lead, officers arrived at the 4300 block of Communications Drive and conducted a traffic stop, during which the illegal substances and cash were discovered. A handgun was also seized during the arrest.

One person was detained during the ongoing investigation, though authorities have not released the individual’s identity. The Dallas Police Department continues to investigate the scope of the drug ring.

Police Response and Statements

Deputy Chief Kylee Hawks, commander of the South Patrol Group, posted on X about the successful seizure, stating:

“Getting any amount of drugs off the street is a win, and getting more than 160 kilos of meth off the street is a major success. Knowing this came from a tip means people want to help us make a difference in their community.”…
