DeSoto police arrest man for burglary of vacant home

DESOTO, Texas — A 36-year-old man was arrested for burglary after being found with appliances from a vacant home early Friday morning, according to the DeSoto Police Department. Officers responded to a suspicious activity call in the 200 block of Streamside Drive.

The suspect, identified as Jonathon Ledon Jackson of Seagoville, was detained as he attempted to leave the garage with a stove and refrigerator. Jackson claimed he was leasing the property and had permission to remove the items. However, the property owner confirmed that no one was authorized to be on the premises and that the home was listed for sale.
