DART launches Silver Line regional rail service in Dallas area

Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) recently launched the Silver Line regional rail service. Public station celebrations were held at the 10 Silver Line stations on Oct. 25 and featured live music and family-friendly activities.

The service spans more than 26 miles and connects Plano, Richardson, Dallas, Addison, Carrollton, Coppell, Grapevine, and DFW International Airport. It runs every 30 minutes during weekday peak hours and every 60 minutes during off-peak weekday hours and on weekends. Service begins daily at 4 a.m. and runs until 1 a.m. the following morning. The line transfers to North Texas’ expanding trail network, DART Light Rail lines, bus routes, DFW airport terminals, and Trinity Metro TexRail service.
