DALLAS — A Dallas ISD high school principal left for another job within the district after some members of the community had called for his ouster, officials say.
Some in the community had sought the ouster of former David W. Carter High School Principal Troy Tyson, citing “unprofessionalism and lack of dedication,” a lack of engagement with community stakeholders, among other issues, in an online petition.
“For years, we have witnessed a downturn in morale and academic achievement, with numerous complaints about the principal’s unprofessionalism and lack of dedication,” the petition read. “A change of leadership will help revitalize the school’s spirit and bring back the positive environment it once had.”…
