Man charged with capital murder in Dallas beheading of former San Antonio resident

A Cuban immigrant accused of beheading his co-worker at a Dallas motel has been indicted on a Capital Murder charge.

Yordanis Cobos‑Martínez was formally indicted by a Dallas County grand jury in the Sept. 10 beheading of his co-worker, Chandra “Bob” Nagamallaiah, according to WFAA. The victim had lived in San Antonio before moving to Dallas in 2021 to work at the motel, relatives say.

The two men had been working at the Downtown Suites Dallas when Nagamallaiah, 50, asked Cobos-Martínez not to use a broken washing machine. Tensions between the two then escalated after Nagamallaiah asked a female co-worker to translate his instructions to Cobos-Martínez rather than speaking directly to him…
