U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has issued an arrest detainer for Sergio Noe de Nova Duarte, a Mexican national. Duarte is accused of attacking a woman with a hammer while she was jogging in Bob Woodruff Park, Plano, Texas, on November 13, 2025. The Plano Police Department charged Duarte with aggravated kidnapping and bodily injury. ICE placed the detainer with Collin County Jail to request that he remain in custody.
Duarte entered the U.S. on a B2 tourist visa in 2016 and was required to leave by September of that year. He has previous arrests for burglary and larceny in 2024.
