A somber discovery was made on the Rockwall side of Lake Ray Hubbard when rescue crews were dispatched to recover a body found floating in the lake near Interstate 30. The 911 call came in just after 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, prompting a response from Dallas Fire-Rescue, as well as assistance from technical rescue crews from multiple agencies. At present, details remain sparse, with no information available on the identity or age of the deceased, and an air of uncertainty as to what transpired leading up to this grim find.
Further confounding authorities is the nature of the death, which Dallas Police Department officers are currently investigating as an “unexplained death.” As per The Dallas Express, Public Information Officer Michael Dennis stated, “This is being investigated as an unexplained death,” leaving open numerous possibilities from an accidental drowning to something more nefarious.
