Dallas Police, working alongside the U.S. Marshals Service, have launched a focused holiday crime-reduction effort called Holiday Heat. The operation, which runs from November 23 through January 9, is aimed at finding and arresting individuals wanted on violent felony warrants, particularly in neighborhoods that have seen elevated crime levels.
The initiative combines federal support with Dallas Police detectives, specialized units and increased patrol visibility. While teams work to track down high-risk offenders, officers will also maintain a steady presence in the community to reassure residents and strengthen trust.
“As we move into the holiday season, we’re Dallas, and we’re turning up the heat on violent crime,” Chief Daniel Comeaux said. He emphasized that the goal is simple: keep families safe during the busiest time of year. “If you’re committing violent crime in this city, we’re coming for you. And we need the community with us.
