Dallas hires nonprofit to evaluate City Hall as repair bill climbs to $345 million

The Dallas Economic Development Corporation voted Tuesday to commission a full evaluation of Dallas City Hall — ordering engineers, real-estate advisers, and architects to assess the 47-year-old building’s structural condition, repair costs and possible relocation options.

Located at 1500 Marilla Street downtown, City Hall now faces an estimated $152–$345 million in deferred maintenance, up sharply from less than $93 million projected in 2018.
