A normally quiet stretch of Meyers Street turned into a homicide scene yesterday, after a person was found shot on the 2400 block in South Dallas. The victim died at the scene, and detectives quickly began knocking on doors and scanning the area for cameras that might have caught what happened.
Officers were dispatched to the block at about 3:05 p.m., where they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds, according to WFAA. Dallas Fire-Rescue also responded, and medics pronounced the victim dead at the scene, the outlet reports. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s name, citing the need to notify family members first.
