A quiet stretch along the 7600 block of South Central Expressway in East Oak Cliff turned into a crime scene last Friday, when Dallas Fire-Rescue crews discovered two people shot to death in what police say appears to be a murder-suicide.
Investigators say a 30-year-old man died from what looks to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and a woman was also found fatally shot at the scene. Both were pronounced dead shortly after midday.
What Police Say
The Dallas Police Department logged the case under number 177484-2025, after officers were dispatched around 12:35 p.m. following a request from Dallas Fire-Rescue. Detectives are treating the incident as a murder-suicide, with the male victim believed to have shot the woman before turning the gun on himself.
