Former HR Director at Arlington Business Sentenced to 15 Years for $300K Employee Payroll Theft Scheme

On December 17, 2025, 49-year-old Stacia M. McGrew pleaded guilty to theft of property valued at $300,000 or more and was sentenced to 15 years in prison by a Tarrant County court.

McGrew committed the theft while serving as the Director of Human Resources for Dot It Restaurant Fulfillment, a company based in Arlington, Texas. Over a two-year period, she systematically stole nearly $310,000 from her employer by exploiting her access to payroll and employee records.

According to investigators, McGrew created multiple bank accounts under the names of both real employees and fictitious ones. She then diverted company payroll funds into those accounts, which she controlled.
