This season, the Preston Hollow community has taken things into its own hands with a decisive move.
An announcement from Dallas’ Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Gay Donnell Willis reveals the actions that Preston Hollow is taking to ease the stress that comes with its viral holiday lights display. In a screenshot uploaded to the social media platform Bluesky by user Txnewsprincess, Willis shared that access to the neighborhood would be limited to residents and confirmed guests only this year.
“Off-duty officers hired and paid for by Preston Hollow Citizens For A Safer Community will limit access to Deloache Avenue between Preston Road and Edgemere in North Dallas to residents and invited guests,” reads the announcement. “The neighborhood group obtained a special event permit that allows the group to restrict vehicle and pedestrian traffic on weekend evenings in December due to large crowds viewing the holiday display at 6215 Deloache.”…
