Firefighters rushed to a southwest Dallas apartment complex early yesterday after neighbors spotted smoke pouring from a top-floor unit on Christmas Eve. Crews had the flames under control in roughly 30 minutes, and officials reported that no one was injured.
Dallas Fire-Rescue said it dispatched units at 3:33 a.m. to the complex and that firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from an apartment on the top floor of the two-story building. Crews declared the blaze extinguished just before 4 a.m., according to WFAA.
Where the Fire Broke Out
The fire was reported at 7905 Marvin D. Love Freeway, an address listed online for a southwest Dallas apartment property. The property’s listing confirms the same Redbird-area location where fire crews responded, and the management site shows the identical street address.
Response and Investigation
Officials told WFAA there were no reported injuries and that the cause of the fire remains under investigation. Dallas Fire-Rescue crews stayed on scene into the early morning, checking for hot spots and working to make the building safe for residents.
