Dallas Police Seek Public’s Help in Cold Case Murder of Alice Fisher, Trackdown Initiative Spurs Community Engagement

As the year comes to a close, Dallas police continue their search for three suspects responsible for the brutal and inexplicable murder of Alice Fisher, according to FOX 4 News. On a January night in her West Dallas apartment, Fisher, grappling with medical issues and separated by fortune from the world’s winds, was shot nine times.

Despite an extensive coverage and public outreach campaign including the city’s Trackdown series, Detective Joshua Conklin with the Dallas Police Department’s homicide unit indicated that the trail has gone cold, “This case, it involves an older lady that really didn’t have anything. She wasn’t involved in anything out here. She had some medical problems,” he told Crime Watch Dallas. Surveillance footage captured a dark gray, or possibly black, Ford Escape without a front license plate and missing its radio antenna — a vehicle believed to be connected with the three suspects, which could underpin their eventual undoing.
