Dallas is giving its sanitation trucks a tech upgrade — with a pair of digital eyes.
The City Council has approved $850,000 to install AI-powered cameras on 50 brush and bulk trash trucks by 2026. The goal, explained code compliance director Chris Christian at a City Council budget briefing, is to spot code violations such as illegal dumping, overgrown lots, and graffiti while sanitation trucks make their usual rounds.
