Dallas Fire-Rescue Battles Two-Alarm Blaze at Inwood Village, Damaging Several Local Businesses

Last Saturday morning, a fire broke out at Inwood Village, a Dallas shopping center, causing damage to at least four local businesses. FOX 4 News reported that the Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR) was called to 5405 West Lovers Lane at approximately 5:55 a.m. and found smoke billowing from the roof of the two-story commercial building. The blaze, which was concentrated in the attic, necessitated a two-alarm response from around 45 to 50 firefighters who worked tirelessly to extinguish hot spots and finally declared the fire extinguished at 10:07 a.m.

Amid this unfortunate event, several Dallas businesses at the intersection of Lovers Lane and Inwood Drive are missing out on the holiday season’s crucial final days. According to NBC DFW, a passerby reported the fire before 6 a.m., which has been pinpointed as originating at Campisi’s restaurant. Although firefighters reported the fire was mostly contained to the attic area, the damage has spilled over, affecting multiple businesses.

DFR’s efforts were met with success as the main body of the fire was knocked down by around 8 a.m. Even with the fire under control, the after-effects linger, with business owners evaluating the impact of damage to their premises.
