DART is about to close one of its Downtown Dallas station for years. Here’s when it will go away.

DALLAS — Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) is gearing up to temporarily close one of its Downtown Dallas stations — and it isn’t likely to reopen for more than three and a half years.

Back in August, DART first announced its plans to close the Convention Center Station at South Lamar Street and Memorial Drive as construction and redevelopment of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center gets underway. At the time, the transit agency did not specify when the temporary closure would come.
