Call center closing in North Texas, 100-plus workers to be laid off

DALLAS — A call center in North Texas is closing, impacting more than 100 employees, according to filings with the Texas Workforce Commission.

Telvista Inc. is closing a facility it operates at 8585 N. Stemmons Freeway in Dallas, prompting its 110 employees to be laid off effective Feb. 28, according to a filing with the state. However, some could be laid off before that if no work is available for them.

“The Company will release its approximately one hundred and ten (110) employees on February 28, 2026…and cease operations at the above-mentioned location thereafter,” a Worker Adjustment & Retraining Notification (WARN) notice filed with the Texas Workforce Commission states. “This action is expected to be permanent. None of the affected employees are represented by a union and no ‘bumping rights’ exist.”…
