As crowds gathered to ring in the New Year across Dallas, Chief of Police Reneé Hall addressed concerns of significant traffic congestion on New Year’s Eve in a recent statement. Despite a city teeming with celebration, the chief acknowledged the difficulties that arose from the heavy vehicular presence, especially regarding the movement of emergency vehicles. “Any situation that delays first responders is a concern,” Chief Hall expressed, per the Dallas Police Department.
While it appears from the chief’s comments that there were fewer calls for service compared to the previous year, she certainly highlighted that traffic snarls represented a significant hurdle, as per the Dallas Police Department: “This experience provided valuable insight.
