DALLAS, TX – Dallas police officers are being credited with saving a life after a dramatic early morning rescue on December 24, 2025.
At approximately 4:40 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a call in the 100 block of E. Camp Wisdom Road regarding a woman who was reportedly attempting to jump from a bridge. When officers arrived, Senior Corporal Timothy Griffin and Officer Carlos Gomez observed the woman sitting extremely close to the edge of the bridge, directly above the S.R.L. Thornton Freeway.
Recognizing the immediate danger, the officers quickly moved toward her. As they reached her, the woman went over the edge of the bridge. Senior Corporal Griffin and Officer Gomez were able to grab and hold onto her arm, preventing her from falling onto the freeway below.
