U.S. Marshals, Dallas police arrest woman on multiple felony narcotic charges

DALLAS, Texas — A 40-year-old woman was arrested by the Dallas Police Central Business District in collaboration with the U.S. Marshals Service North Texas Fugitive Task Force on January 6, 2026. Velisa Purvis, of Dallas, Texas, was wanted for multiple felony narcotic charges.

Officers apprehended Purvis in the 1500 block of Garrett Avenue without incident, according to a press release from the Dallas Police Department. During the search, authorities recovered 39 small bags of suspected crack cocaine, two bags of suspected methamphetamine, drug packaging, money, marijuana, and other paraphernalia. Purvis had four outstanding felony warrants and now faces additional charges, including Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance between four grams and 200 grams, and Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance between one and four grams.
