Dallas police respond to more than 100 vehicle accidents since Saturday, officials say

DALLAS — Police and other first responders have been busy across the metroplex amid the icy weekend weather, responding to dozens of calls across the region.

According to the Dallas Assistant Police Chief Terrence Rhodes, Dallas police have responded to 104 vehicle crashes since the weather began overnight Friday. There have been 23 alone since midnight Sunday.

Additionally, Assistant Dallas Fire Chief Scott Pacot said firefighters have responded to an above average number of incidents, including 14 structure fires, 151 welfare checks, 36 fall incidents and 53 motor vehicle accidents…
