Lingering snow, ice prompts some school closures Thursday, Jan. 29

Despite higher temperatures and sunshine Wednesday which led to some snow and ice melt, forecasted near-freezing early morning temperatures and the possibility of refreezing of roads has prompted several school districts across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex to continue cancelling school for Thursday, Jan. 29.

As near-freezing temperatures are expected to grip the DFW metroplex overnight, the following school districts have released statements about potential closures for Thursday, Jan. 29:

Allen ISDAll campuses and staff buildings are closed Thursday, Jan. 29.Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISDAll campuses and staff buildings are closed Thursday, Jan. 29.Celina ISDAll campuses and staff buildings are closed Thursday, 29.
